King’s Way Ski Bus is a great opportunity to ski or snowboard while hanging out with your friends! This will be my 14th season taking students up to Mt. Hood Meadows. If your kids have friends or relatives from other schools that are interested, they can join too! Never been skiing or snowboarding, but would like to learn? No problem, Meadows has a program for everyone.

Our Mt. Hood Meadows program starts January 8th and runs for 4 consecutive Saturdays. Great news I’ve brought back 4 Saturdays in February for session 2!!!

Snowblasters – Grades 1-5: This is a fully supervised program, from pickup to drop-off. At the mountain, Snowblasters are taken by the Skibus chaperones to a secured area, which can only be accessed by approved adults. They are paired up in groups according to their abilities and each group has the same instructor for all four sessions. All rental equipment is received in the secured area via their instructor. The program runs from 10am-3pm, including 4 hours of lessons and supervised lunch. Lunch can be from home or you can opt to sign up for the hot buffet at check out.

Trailblazers – Grades 6-8: This program gives middle schoolers a chance to choose between 2 or 4 hours of lessons. The Skibus chaperones will assist in helping navigate rental equipment and getting to their lessons if needed. Rental lockers are available for $10. Lunch can be from home or from one of the vendors. Chaperones typically do a check-in with every student during lunch. We try to encourage students who are not taking lessons, to ski together. Students are responsible for getting back to the bus at 3:30.

High School – Grades 9 -12: This program offers a 2 hour lesson each Saturday and follows the same format as the Trailblazers program.

Adult: There are lots of options to choose from. Depending on what you need, lessons, rentals and all-day lift tickets are available for a discounted rate. See link for more details.

Walk On Riders: Any MS/HS and adult who would like to join us for one day, without committing to the entire 4 week session. The bus ride is $29. Ask me for more details.

A typical Saturday looks like this: We take a Blue Star transportation bus that departs promptly from King’s Way Christian School at 6:15am. All the riders are unloaded and taken to their areas, (Snowblasters, rentals, lessons). I typically break for lunch at noon and can be found in the Snoblasters area. The chaperones and I always try to make contact with the older students at some point in the day. Our goal is for everyone to have a fun, safe time. One of our highlights is getting to ski with the students.  The chaperones escort the Snowblasters to the bus at approximately 3:30 and make sure all students are accounted for. Our departure time is 4pm. We return to the KW parking lot around 6pm depending on weather and traffic conditions.

Welcome!
